Basketball Recap: Seven Lakes Comes Up Short

Seven Lakes lost against Jordan back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Seven Lakes Spartans were outmatched by the Jordan Warriors and fell 62-34. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 583rd, while the Warriors are ranked 206th).

Seven Lakes lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Willtrace Ngoh, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine boards. Ngoh is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down nine or more in the last four games she's played.

Even though they lost, Seven Lakes smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in 30 consecutive matchups.

Seven Lakes' record is now 8-23. As for Jordan, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-11.

Seven Lakes wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 73-41 victory against Paetow on the 24th. Jordan has also already played their next game, a 59-54 win against Katy on the 24th.
