Lincolnton and Bunker Hill are an even 3-3 against one another since October of 2014, but not for long. After each having a week off, both will dust off their jerseys to take on one another at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lincolnton is looking for their season?s first win.

Last Friday, Lincolnton had to suffer through a 52-14 loss at the hands of East Lincoln. The Wolves were already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.

Meanwhile, Bunker Hill lost to Randleman on the road by a 35-21 margin last Friday. The loss was the Bears' first of the season.

Even though they lost, Bunker Hill was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 227 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Randleman only rushed for 101.

Bunker Hill's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged two passes before it was all said and done. Jaylan Willis picked up that interception and then proceeded to rub salt in the wound by taking it back the other way for a touchdown.

Lincolnton's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Bunker Hill, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Lincolnton came up short against Bunker Hill when the teams last played back in September of 2023, falling 45-37. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Bunker Hill's Jason Willis Jr, who rushed for 244 yards and four touchdowns.
