Soccer Recap: Minnechaug Regional Takes a Loss

Minnechaug Regional entered their match against Northampton on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Falcons fell 2-0 to the Blue Devils. While losing is never fun, Minnechaug Regional can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts soccer rankings (they are ranked 90th, while Northampton are ranked sixth).

Minnechaug Regional's loss dropped their record down to 6-4-5. As for Northampton, their win bumped their record up to 13-0-3.

Coming up, Minnechaug Regional will host Belchertown at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Belchertown's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. Northampton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
