Soccer Recap: Sherando Takes a Loss

Sherando and Handley squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Sherando had to settle for second. They fell 3-1 to the Judges. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Sherando has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-10 record this season. As for Handley, they pushed their record up to 12-3-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Sherando does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Handley, they will take on Orange County on Wednesday. Handley's defense better be ready for this one: Orange County have averaged an impressive 2.9 goals per game this season.
