Recap: College Park Academy vs. Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North Tigers
College Park Academy suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Monday. They had to suffer through a rough 70-34 loss at the hands of Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North. While losing is never fun, College Park Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 236th, while Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North is ranked 103rd).
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North to victory, but perhaps none more so than Foncham Ambe, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and three blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Devin Thomas, who scored 13 points along with three steals.
College Park Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 8-2.
College Park Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Central at 7:15 p.m. on January 23rd. Central knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past six games -- so hopefully College Park Academy likes a good challenge. As for Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North, they will be playing at home against Oxon Hill at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
