Caprock Academy is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Plateau Valley on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Caprock Academy was beaten by Plateau Valley 65-34. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-12.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Grand Junction Central). They snuck past Grand Junction with a 55-51 victory on Friday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Warriors considering their 19-point performance the contest before.

Caprock Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Grand Junction Central, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-15.
