Basketball Recap: American Fork Takes a Loss

American Fork was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 60-47 to the Maple Mountain Golden Eagles.

Maple Mountain's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Leah Bailey, who posted 19 points and five steals. Bailey has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashlynn Lainhart, who went 6 of 7 from beyond the arc on her way to 18 points.

American Fork's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Maple Mountain, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

American Fork will take on Mountain Ridge in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Mountain Ridge's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four games. Maple Mountain and Vanden will compete for holiday cheer at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
