Wagner waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came within a single point of losing the streak, but they secured a 57-56 W against the Scotland/Menno Trappers. Given the Red Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' South Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 34th, while the Trappers are ranked 133rd) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the loss, Scotland/Menno still got an impressive performance from Hunter Clark, who shot 55% from the field en route to 19 points. Another player making a difference was Erick Buechler, who went 5-for-12 on his way to 12 points and five boards.

Wagner's win bumped their record up to 12-2. As for Scotland/Menno, their defeat was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wagner will head out to challenge Hanson at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Scotland/Menno, they will venture away from home to face off against Avon at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
