Softball Recap: Canyon View Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Canyon View, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They put the hurt on the Delta Rabbits with a sharp 12-2 win on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Rabbits: they've now won four in a row.

Elli John made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over six innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Peyton King was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with two triples and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Saide Adams, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Canyon View always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .515. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Delta only posted an OBP of .259.

Canyon View's win bumped their record up to 4-15. As for Delta, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-14.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Canyon View is set to square off against their familiar foe Carbon at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Delta will take on rival Juab at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
