Recap: Collins Hill Eagles vs. Mountain View Bears
The Collins Hill Eagles posted their biggest win since December 16, 2023 on Friday. They blew past Mountain View 54-34. Given Collins Hill's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 99th, while Mountain View is ranked 396th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Paris Fillingame continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 26 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. That makes it nine consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Collins Hill's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jada Davis, who scored ten points along with four steals.
Collins Hill's win bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Mountain View, their loss was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 4-13.
Collins Hill will face off against Central at 5:55 p.m. on Monday. Central will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. As for Mountain View, they will head out on the road to square off against East Forsyth at 12:00 p.m. on Monday. East Forsyth knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four contests -- so hopefully Mountain View likes a good challenge.
