Basketball Recap: Hinkley Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Hinkley lost against Aurora Central back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Thunder were beaten by the Trojans 55-8.

Jamaea Johnson-Gonzalez went supernova For Aurora Central., dropping a double-double with 21 points and 13 rebounds. Johnson-Gonzalez is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least five every time she's taken the court this season. Bella Lumba was another key player, putting up 14 points along with eight boards and four steals.

Hinkley's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Aurora Central, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Hinkley will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Arvada at 6:00 p.m. on the 15th. As for Aurora Central, they will venture away from home to square off against Denver North at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
