Basketball Recap: Pinnacle Takes a Loss

Pinnacle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 34-29 heartbreaker at the hands of the Logan Grizzlies.

Logan got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ruby Kutarna out in front who went 6 for 12 on her way to 13 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Kutarna has scored at least a third of Logan's points. Abadit Haile was another key player, putting up nine points.

Pinnacle's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Logan, their win ended a 15-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-12.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Pinnacle Panthers duke it out with the Monument Valley Cougars at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Logan has already played their next matchup (against Bear River), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
