Basketball Recap: Lake View Takes a Loss

Lake View lost against Estacado back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Lake View Chiefs were beaten by the Estacado Matadors 80-41. While losing is never fun, the Chiefs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 664th, while the Matadors are ranked 76th).

Lake View's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Joseph Delgado, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 14 points and five rebounds, and Braylon White, who posted 13 points and five boards. Delgado is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last four games he's played.

Lake View's loss dropped their record down to 14-14. As for Estacado, the victory (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 25-6.

Lake View has already played their next game (against Levelland), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Estacado, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 96-45 win against Big Spring on the 7th.
