Basketball Game Preview: Cherokee Trail Cougars vs. Legend Titans + How To Watch

The Cherokee Trail Cougars will venture away from home to face off against the Legend Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Cherokee Trail knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Legend likes a good challenge.

Cherokee Trail's tournament run continued when they took on Longmont on Saturday. The Cougars blew past the Trojans 65-39. That looming 65-39 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Cougars yet this season.

Jordan Mitchell had a dynamite game, dropping a double-double with 16 points and ten boards. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Jensen, who shot 43% from the field to rack up 12 points and five assists.

Cherokee Trail smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in six consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Legend suffered their biggest loss since February 12th on Tuesday. They had to suffer through an 80-50 loss at the hands of Ralston Valley. The Titans haven't had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Legend's defeat dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Cherokee Trail, their record now sits at 3-1.

Cherokee Trail came up short against Legend when the teams last played back in December of 2024, falling 61-57. Can the Cougars avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
