Roanoke-Benson/Lowpoint-Washburn will bounce into Saturday's game after beating Putnam County, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Rockets never let the Panthers get on the board and left with a 4-0 win on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rockets.

Meanwhile, Fieldcrest lost 16-5 to Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley on Friday. The Knights haven't had much luck with the Falcons recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Roanoke-Benson/Lowpoint-Washburn's victory bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Fieldcrest, their loss dropped their record down to 9-8.
