Football Recap: Tri-Valley Bulldogs vs. Shenandoah Valley Blue Devils

Tri-Valley won the last time they faced Shenandoah Valley, and things went their way on Friday too. The Tri-Valley Bulldogs took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 42-10 victory over the Shenandoah Valley Blue Devils. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tri-Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Blake Schwartz, who rushed for 67 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 144 yards while completing 80% of his passes. That's the most rushing yards Schwartz has posted since back in October of 2023. Cole Gemberling was another key back, rushing for 111 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries.

He was just one part of a punishing run game: Tri-Valley was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 321 rushing yards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved they're rushing yard total in three consecutive matches.

Tri-Valley wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 28-14 win against Mahanoy Area on the 11th. Shenandoah Valley has also already played their next contest, a 32-0 loss against Panther Valley on the 11th.
