Shawnee came tearing into Monday's match with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 6-1 victory over the Benjamin Logan Raiders. For the Braves, this counts as revenge for the 5-4 win the Raiders walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2023.

Alee Trimmer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits and racked up 13 Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Maura Simpson was incredible, firing off two home runs, three stolen bases, and three RBI while going 3-for-4. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. Lily Wilson was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs.

Shawnee pushed their record up to 10-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Benjamin Logan, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 7-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Shawnee beat the Raiders by a score of 2-0 on Wednesday.
