Softball Recap: Leonard Takes a Loss

After flying high against Atlantic last Tuesday, Leonard came back down to earth. The Leonard Lancers came up short against the Berean Christian Bulldogs on Thursday, falling 21-13.

Leonard got a massive performance out of Shadia Duarte, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Arianna Sheerer, who scored a run while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.

Leonard's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Berean Christian, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Leonard will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Olympic Heights at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Berean Christian, they will challenge Westminster Christian at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
