Basketball Recap: Big Sandy Comes Up Short

Big Sandy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a 46-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the McLeod Longhorns. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 34-23 back in December of 2024.

Big Sandy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-17. As for McLeod, their victory bumped their record up to 13-16.

Big Sandy and Sabine Pass will face off at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Big Sandy is facing Sabine Pass at the right time seeing as Sabine Pass is stuck on a five-game losing streak. McLeod has already played their next match (against Linden-Kildare), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
