Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Hackett walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Ozark Catholic Academy Griffins with a sharp 3-0 victory on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Hornets sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row.
Michaelyn Freeman paced Hackett's offense, picking up 17 kills. Freeman got some help from Catelyn Edwards and her 27 assists. Ryleigh Decker controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.
Hackett's win bumped their record up to 24-5-2. As for Ozark Catholic Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 11-7.
As of now, neither Hackett nor the Griffins have any future games scheduled.
