Football Recap: West Mesquite Starts Season with Loss on the Road + How To Watch

West Mesquite kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 41-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Princeton Panthers. The Wranglers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Jordan Mosley was nothing short of spectacular for Princeton: he picked up 213 receiving yards and three scores. Those 213 receiving yards gave Mosley a new career-high. Marcus Flowers was another key player, throwing for 271 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 72.4% of his passes.

Looking ahead, West Mesquite will face off against Poteet at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Princeton, they will square off against Naaman Forest at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
