Softball Recap: Marshall Takes a Loss

Marshall was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 12-0 to the Hallsville Bobcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-1 back in March.

Marshall's defeat dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Hallsville, they are on a roll lately: they've won 19 of their last 20 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-3-1 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Marshall is set to take on their familiar foe Texas at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Hallsville will face off against rival Jacksonville at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
