Basketball Recap: Newcastle Has No Trouble Against Glenrock

There's no place like home for Newcastle, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They strolled past the Glenrock Herders with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 45-28. The game marked the Dogies' most dominant victory of the season.

Newcastle's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lillie Morrill, who went 6-for-9 en route to 14 points and seven rebounds. The dominant performance gave Morrill a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydney Pederson, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 13 boards.

Newcastle's win bumped their record up to 3-13. As for Glenrock, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.

Newcastle has already played their next contest, a 56-14 defeat against Torrington on the 15th. As for Glenrock, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 66-39 loss against Wheatland on the 15th.
