Basketball Recap: Burns Comes Up Short

After soaring to 56 points the game before, Burns was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They were beaten by the Stuart W. Cramer Storm 53-13. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Storm apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2019.

Burns' loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Emma Wallace, who posted six points. The team also got some help courtesy of Adyson Gales, who scored five points and three steals.

Oshauna Holland had an outrageously good game for Stuart W. Cramer as she almost dropped a triple-double with 34 points, nine rebounds, and 14 steals. Holland's big performance that evening made it 34 games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points. Lauren Humphrey was another key player, dropping a double-double with ten points and ten boards.

Burns' defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Stuart W. Cramer, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Burns didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 50-13 victory against East Gaston on the 4th. As for Stuart W. Cramer, they have also already played their next matchup, a 72-23 win against Forestview on the 4th.
