Volleyball Recap: James Irwin Comes Up Short

James Irwin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against the Eagle Ridge Academy Warriors, falling 3-0. If the Jaguars were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Warriors when the teams met back in November of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Stella Reed paced James Irwin's offense, picking up six kills. Reed got some help from Alana Trujillo and her eight assists. Reed was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

James Irwin's loss dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Eagle Ridge Academy, their win bumped their record up to 8-14.

James Irwin wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against St. Mary's Academy on the 1st. As for Eagle Ridge Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 victory against Strasburg on the 1st.
