Springville is 8-2 against Spanish Fork since January of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Springville Red Devils will head out to challenge the Spanish Fork Dons at 5:15 p.m. Springville has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Springville turned things around against Maple Mountain on Tuesday. They secured a 59-54 W over the Golden Eagles. The score was all tied up 22-22 at the break, but the Red Devils were the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, Spanish Fork was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They were beaten by Salem Hills 63-30. While losing is never fun, the Dons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked 85th, while the Skyhawks are ranked sixth).

Spanish Fork's loss dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Springville, their victory bumped their record up to 10-11.

Springville strolled past Spanish Fork in their previous matchup back in January by a score of 56-41. The rematch might be a little tougher for Springville since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
