Preview: Hurricane Tigers vs. Cedar Reds
Hurricane has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Cedar Reds at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Friday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Hurricane beat Delta 72-66.
Hurricane can attribute much of their success to Rj Hurst, who scored 26 points along with eight rebounds, and Cayleb Jackman, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds. Those eight rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Brigham Kemp was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Meanwhile, Cedar beat Spanish Fork 62-54 on Saturday. That 62-54 margin sets a new team best for Cedar this season.
The victory got Hurricane back to even at 4-4. As for Cedar, their victory bumped their record up to 2-8.
Hurricane came up short against Cedar in their previous meeting back in February, falling 67-54. Can Hurricane avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
