Softball Recap: St. Pius X Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

St. Pius X had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They walked away with a 6-1 win over the St. Agnes Academy Tigers. For the Panthers, this counts as revenge for the 12-0 victory the Tigers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Kennedy Flenner 2026 spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits.

At the plate, St. Pius X saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Celeste Reed 2028, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

St. Pius X pushed their record up to 10-8-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.7 runs over those games. As for St. Agnes Academy, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 17-5-1.

Looking ahead, St. Pius X will look to defend their home field on Friday against St. John's at 6:00 p.m. As for St. Agnes Academy, they will head out to challenge Fort Bend Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
