Recap: East Laurens Falcons vs. Bryan County Redskins
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the East Laurens Falcons, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They were dealt a 55-14 defeat at the hands of Bryan County on Friday. While losing is never fun, East Laurens can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 335th, while Bryan County is ranked 152nd).
Zay Boston threw for 216 yards and a touchdown. Kyan Snead was his top target, picking up 45 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Jacari Carney had an outrageously good game for Bryan County as he rushed for 188 yards and four touchdowns on only six carries. Noah Bailes made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
East Laurens has not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Bryan County, they have yet to lose a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 10-1 record.
East Laurens does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Bryan County's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Pelham at 7:30 p.m. on November 17th. Both teams might be coming in a bit winded given how much these teams ran in their prior games.
