Football Recap: Wauconda Falls Short of St. Patrick in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Wauconda can now relate to. They came up short against the St. Patrick Shamrocks on Saturday, falling 49-28. The loss was the Bulldogs' first of the season.

Despite the loss, Wauconda still got an impressive performance from Cole Korycanek, who rushed for 78 yards and one score, and also picked up 39 receiving yards.

Wauconda's loss dropped their record down to 9-1. As for St. Patrick, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-4.

Wauconda does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Patrick, they will face off against Cary-Grove at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Shamrocks will need to watch out since the Trojans have now posted at least 31 points in their last eight games.
