Baseball Game Preview: River Valley Falcons vs. River City Raiders

The River Valley Falcons will challenge the River City Raiders at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 12 consecutive losses for River Valley and three for River City.

Friday just wasn't the day for River Valley's offense. They lost 6-0 to Yuba City on Friday.

Meanwhile, River City came up short against Vacaville on Thursday and fell 7-3.

River City saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eddie Ames, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. That double was Ames' first of the season.

River City's defeat dropped their record down to 10-8. As for River Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 2-14.

River Valley took their win against River City in their previous meeting back in March of 2018 by a conclusive 10-4 score. Will the Falcons repeat their success, or do the Raiders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
