Soccer Recap: Chattahoochee Wins Going Away Against Gainesville

After failing to score in their last match, Chattahoochee made sure to put some goals up on the board against Gainesville on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 9-0 margin over the Gainesville Red Elephants. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Cougars' offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Their offense was hitting Gainesville from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal. Madina Abdullayeva led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

The win made it two in a row for Chattahoochee and bumps their season record up to 2-1. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two games. As for Gainesville, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Chattahoochee take on the Dunwoody at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Dunwoody's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so Chattahoochee's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Gainesville, they will take on Roswell at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Roswell will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Gainesville surely won't give up without a fight.
