Baseball Recap: Huntley Comes Up Short

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Huntley's offense. They lost 12-0 to the Cary-Grove Trojans on Wednesday. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Red Raiders' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Huntley's defeat dropped their record down to 13-11. As for Cary-Grove, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season.

Huntley will be playing in front of their home fans against Dundee-Crown at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Red Raiders are facing the Chargers at the right time seeing as the Chargers are stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Cary-Grove, they will face off against Crystal Lake South at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
