Volleyball Recap: Severance Comes Up Short

Severance was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Centauri Falcons. The Silver Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Severance's offense was headlined by Malia Nethery and Layla Brodt, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Sophia Atkinson and her eight assists.

Severance's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Centauri, their victory bumped their record up to 13-6.

Severance didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Alamosa on the 18th. As for Centauri, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Wiggins on the 18th.
