Football Recap: Patrick Henry Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Patrick Henry was the 25-7 winner over Clairemont when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Patriots and the Chieftains were almost perfectly matched up on Thursday, but the Patriots suffered a 13-12 loss. While the Patriots had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Chieftains 6-0.

A big part of Clairemont's victory came down to the chemistry between Abby Mora and her top target Kacey Otterman. Mora threw for 263 yards and a pair of touchdowns while Otterman picked up 84 receiving yards and one score. Those 84 receiving yards gave Otterman a new career-high.

Patrick Henry now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Clairemont, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.

Coming up, Patrick Henry will be playing in front of their home fans against Academy of Our Lady of Peace at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Clairemont, they will venture away from home to take on Point Loma at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
