Basketball Recap: Wayne Comes Up Short

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 78-16, which was the final score in the Wayne Bulldogs's tilt against the Cyril Pirates on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 370th, while the Pirates are ranked 61st).

Wayne has also been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 14 contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season. As for Cyril, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which somehow still isn't as good as their 17-5 record this season.

As of now, neither Wayne nor Cyril have any future games scheduled.
