Volleyball Recap: Tough Loss for Orestimba

Orestimba was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Ripon Indians, falling 3-0.

Orestimba took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final set scores came out to 25-9, 25-12, 25-13.

Ripon got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jorie Eskes out in front who had nine kills, four digs, and four aces. The team also got some help from Kennedy Everhart, who had eight digs and two aces.

Orestimba has now lost eight of their last nine games at home. That's taken a bite out of their 6-22 record this season. Ripon (21-4) has been on a roll lately: they've now won 15 of their last 17 contests.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Orestimba will challenge their in-conference opponent Sonora at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Ripon is set to face off against their familiar foe Ripon Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
