Basketball Recap: Friday's Win Is Alexander's Fifth in Last Six Outings

While Alexander has struggled on the road with three straight losses, that wasn't the case on Friday thanks to Gregory Dunson. The Alexander Cougars enjoyed a cozy 61-42 win over the Rome Wolves thanks in part to Dunson, who posted 29 points. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

Alexander is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. As for Rome, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-5.

Alexander will take on East Paulding at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. East Paulding has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Rome has already played their next game, a 65-47 victory against Dalton on the 25th.
