Basketball Recap: Mentor Picks Up Second Consecutive Win

Mentor won the last time they faced Berea-Midpark and Jack Kennedy did his part to make sure it happened again. The Cardinals strolled past the Titans with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 84-67 thanks in part to Kennedy, who shot 63% from the field to rack up 32 points in addition to eight assists and six boards. His evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points.

Mentor has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 87.0 points this season. As for Berea-Midpark, their loss was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-1.

Mentor and Berea-Midpark will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Cardinals will face off against rival Euclid at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Berea-Midpark is set to square off against their familiar foe Steele at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
