Baseball Recap: Clover Garden School Find Success

Clover Garden School lost to Chatham Charter last Thursday, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Grizzlies came out on top against the Knights by a score of 6-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Grizzlies.

Brayden DeAlto was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over six innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Clover Garden School is 4-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 6-10 otherwise. DeAlto was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Gabe Kistler, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024.

Clover Garden School's record now sits at 10-11. As for Chatham Charter, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 9-1 and their overall record down to 13-8.

Clover Garden School didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 4-3 loss against Pamlico County on the 6th. As for Chatham Charter, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, an 8-0 victory against Ocracoke on the 6th.
