Olean was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Randolph on Monday. The Huskies put the hurt on the Cardinals with a sharp 7-0 win. This was payback for the Huskies, who suffered a 6-3 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Randolph's batters probably weren't too happy with Tiana Maine, who pitched a no hitter and racked up nine Ks (she gave up four walks).
At the plate, Olean got a massive performance out of Ava Finch, who went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Ari Finch, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
The victory got Olean back to even at 1-1.
Coming up, Olean is headed away from home for the first time to take on Falconer at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Randolph, they will welcome Maple Grove at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
