Softball Recap: Liberty Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Liberty Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Wayne Christian Eagles, falling 11-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-5 last Tuesday.

Liberty Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Wayne Christian, they pushed their record up to 5-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Liberty Christian Academy will square off against Wilmington Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Wayne Christian, they will challenge John Paul II Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. John Paul II Catholic has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.63 runs per game on average), something Wayne Christian will no doubt try to take advantage of.
