Volleyball Recap: Maine South Triumphs

Maine South lost to York back in May of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Hawks sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Dukes. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hawks.

Leo Trespeces-Winck paced Maine South's offense, picking up 21 kills. Trespeces-Winck got some help from Gabriel Redzic and his 35 assists. Trespeces-Winck was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.

Maine South's victory bumped their record up to 21-10. As for York, their loss dropped their record down to 23-8.

Maine South has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Lake Zurich on the 10th. As for York, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Glenbard East on the 10th.
