Softball Recap: Avalon Comes Up Short

If Avalon was riding high fresh off their 28-10 takedown of Coolidge last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles came up short against the Frankston Indians on Friday, falling 20-1.

Avalon dropped their record down to 1-5 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Frankston, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

Avalon will take on Kerens at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bobcats will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight. As for Frankston, they will welcome Mildred at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
