Basketball Recap: Northwest Whitfield's Run of Four Straight Wins Now Over

Northwest Whitfield lost against Heritage back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bruins received a blow as they fell 45-26 to the Generals. While losing is never fun, the Bruins can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 207th, while the Generals are ranked 42nd).

Northwest Whitfield got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of Veyda Jones and Miah Triana, who each put up five points. Triana also led the team in rebounds with eight.

Northwest Whitfield didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 68-16 win against Southeast Whitfield County on the 6th. As for Heritage, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 56-42 defeat against Creekview on the 6th.
