Softball Game Preview: Silver Valley Trojans vs. Hesperia Christian Patriots

Silver Valley is 0-9 against Hesperia Christian since May of 2021 but things could change on Friday. The Trojans will head out on the road to challenge the Patriots at 3:15 p.m. Silver Valley has given up an average of 18.4 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Silver Valley is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 12th straight game dating back to last season on Tuesday. They lost 22-2 to Academy of Careers & Exploration.

Meanwhile, Hesperia Christian came up short against Arrowhead Christian on Thursday, falling 15-4.

Eden Skinner made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Emily Speer, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and one double.

Silver Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Hesperia Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7-1.

Silver Valley suffered a grim 21-0 defeat to Hesperia Christian when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Trojans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
