Baseball Recap: Stringer Takes a Loss

Stringer extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to five on Tuesday, dropping them down to 0-3. They lost 10-0 to the Clarkdale Bulldogs. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Red Devils have suffered against the Bulldogs since April 17, 2021.

As for Clarkdale, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games.

For Clarkdale's part, they let Colby Coghlan and Hunter Douglas run wild. Coghlan went 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double, while Douglas went 1-for-3 with one home run and two runs. That double was Coghlan's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Aidan Rich, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.

While Stringer had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
