Football Recap: Murrell Dobbins Vo-Tech Takes a Loss

Murrell Dobbins Vo-Tech was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 18-6 to the Samuel Fels Panthers. Murrell Dobbins Vo-Tech was not able to make up for their defeat to Samuel Fels from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Despite the loss, Murrell Dobbins Vo-Tech saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kasseem Johnson forced one fumble and made nine total tackles. Semaj Ali was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 60 yards.

Murrell Dobbins Vo-Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Samuel Fels, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Murrell Dobbins Vo-Tech will head out to square off against Thomas A. Edison at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. The Owls' defense has only allowed 5.8 points per game this season, so Murrell Dobbins Vo-Tech's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Samuel Fels, they are taking a road trip to take on Audenried at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Rockets will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight.
