Softball Recap: Juniata Valley Hornets vs. Northern Bedford County Panthers

Juniata Valley had lost three straight on the road, but on Thursday they dropped their record down to 5-5-1 to make it four. They came up short against the Northern Bedford County Panthers, falling 8-2. The Hornets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Juniata Valley saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Klohie Brown, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

As for Northern Bedford County, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-6. They not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since March 19, 2024 (when they won 15-2).

On Northern Bedford County's side, Mylee Mitchell made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits.
