Basketball Game Recap: Rockledge Raiders vs. Vero Beach Indians

The Rockledge Raiders lost against the Vero Beach Indians back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Rockledge was the victim of a rough 45-25 defeat at the hands of Vero Beach. Rockledge has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Rockledge's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Jaida Williams-Goins, who scored 16 points, and Makaiya Watkins who scored 8 points along with 8 rebounds. Williams-Goins scored a full 64% of Rockledge's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Rockledge's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Vero Beach, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.

Rockledge will be playing in front of their home fans against Okeechobee at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Okeechobee comes in still looking for their first win of the season. Vero Beach won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Satellite at 7:00 p.m. on November 30th.
